GENOLIA: THE LOW/NO MAINTAINENCE EVERGREEN HEDGE

Genolia is a Swiss bred Evergreen Cherry Laurel variety known for its amazing hardiness and unique growing habit. Ideal for any garden but especially for the smaller garden or where garden space is an issue. Genolia has a very slim column shaped growing habit. The plant over many years can reach a height of up to 10 meters but retains its width to a maximum of 1 meter. It has lovely dark green narrow shiny leaves, crush a leaf and you will get a lovely sent of fresh almonds. The main benefit of Genolia is it requires so little maintenance, virtually no pruning at all, and when it needs side cutting no hedge trimmer is needed, a secateurs of loping shears is all that is required to keep it in shape. Flower buds appear on the plant in Autumn but open in Spring producing fragrant white flowers forming large clusters that attract the wildlife. Genolia will grow happily in well drained soil, full sun and shaded areas, tolerating high and very low temperatures.
